At the conclusion of a 20 year career in the U.S. Air force as a pilot, L.A. decided it was time to pursue his life-long passion of woodworking on a full-time basis. With his family, he established L.A. Price & Company, LLC. Building on the basic woodworking skills taught to him at an early age by his father, and the more than 40 years of hobby and professional experience in the art, L.A. started the business with a focus on producing high-end custom woodwork with a rustic twist.
While producing many custom pieces for both residential and commercial customers, often further customization with laser engraving was requested. Numerous awards plaques and personnel recognition boards were commissioned by military units, all of which required extensive laser engraving. The benefits of being able to handle the engraving in-house became more apparent with each new job. The savings that could be passed on to the customer, the creative freedom of full-time access to a laser engraver, and the sheerly intriguing coolness of the technology, led L.A. to make the investment that led to laser engraving and glass sand carving being the focus of the company's daily business. New passions had come to life!
